Joseph Kent is a Chicago based graphic designer and illustrator, intent on making imagery more than just imaginary. The amassing influences are largely rooted in animation and narrative storytelling, but have comfortably become his own.
Communication remains an important aspect of both. As a designer, he focuses not just on the imagery he can draw with a pen or tablet, but its application elsewhere; from advertisements, covers, promotions, etc. As an artist, some images can be one of activism or simply enjoyment.
Whether through digital or traditional media, it is very much a personal and consistent style. What matters more than anyone seeing the art he’s made, is making unique art he wants people to see.
